Psalms 27:1
You, Lord, are the light that keeps me safe. I am not afraid of anyone. You protect me, and I have no fears.

God is / I am
I heard this message at church the other day.
It was a reminder to keep all three of these premises in mind, when thinking about God.
God is great, God is holy, God is love.
With those in mind, we should also remember what we are in this picture.
I am small, I am not (holy), I am safe.
With this perspective, we fear God but do not live in fear. It was a very timely message, considering all that has been going on in the world.
God is great! I am small.
God is holy! I am not.
God is love! I am safe.
Have a great day, everyone.
My Lighthouse
In my wrestling and in my doubts, in my failures You won’t walk out.
In the silence, You won’t let go. In the questions, Your truth will hold.
My lighthouse, my lighthouse, shining in the darkness I will follow You. My lighthouse, my lighthouse, I will trust the promise…You will carry me safe to shore.
Sandy
Would you take a minute to say a prayer for the folks in the path of this storm? Those who have already experienced it, and those who will be very soon.
Meanwhile, for anyone in the northeast United States who might be reading this: Please take this storm and the warnings that come with it seriously. Don’t try to go out and check out the scene – now or immediately after the storm. Let the emergency personnel do what they need to do.

Each One of Your Concerns
Psalm 62:8
Trust God, my friends and always tell him each one of your concerns. God is our place of safety.
Whatever is on your mind, tell God about it.
No matter where you are in life, you’ll always have someone there to listen to each one of your concerns and a place of safety in a world that isn’t always safe.
Have a good day.
