Take a look. It should help explain the flashing yellow arrow signals being installed by the  Illinois Department of Transportation at more than 100 intersections in Peoria and surrounding communities. These signals are being added to improve safety at intersections.

Flashing Yellow Arrow Signals in Peoria

Flashing yellow arrow signals are being added to more than 100 intersections in Peoria and surrounding areas. Studies have shown that using the flashing yellow arrow instead of the circular green has greatly reduced left-turn crashes.
