Eye of the Storm

I hope this encourages you, if you’re going through a difficult time right now.

Sometimes, life does not seem – and simply, is not – fair. People turn against you. Plans unravel. Darkness seems to cloud the light.

But, here’s the good news: God is always there for you and that will never change. I hope you’ll know that no matter how difficult the situation might be, God knows where you are and He has a good plan for your life. It’s going to be alright!

2 Thessalonians 2:16a
God our father loves us. He is kind and has given us eternal comfort and a wonderful hope.

The Present

Today is a gift…that’s why it’s called the present.

This is the only August 17, 2012 you’ll ever get in this lifetime. What are you going to do with it?

Are you going to spend it worrying about things that have yet to come or things that have already happened? Are you going to spend it thinking about how bad you have it and let it slip away without taking advantage of it?

Are you going to spend it celebrating the fact that you woke up this morning with a chance to make the most of your life, regardless of where you are or what your situation is, and that there are great things ready to be done that only you can do? Are you willing to give it your best today, no matter what?

I’m guilty of the former at times. I’m writing this today as a reminder to myself to make every day count and to always choose joy (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18.) Maybe someone else out there needs this reminder too.

So, what are you going to do with your present? It’s your call.

Have a great day.
