The New Year

2018

So, here we are. 2018. Wow.

Another year we get to live, to start over, to continue something good, to finish strong, to go for it, to make the best of what’s available, to dream, to cherish, to try new things, to work on old things, to praise God for all we have…and so much more.

Just wanted to encourage you today to take advantage of the opportunities abound with the coming of a new year. I hope it’s a great one for you!

Glorious Power

Power Word

Colossians 1:11
His glorious power will make you patient and strong enough to endure anything, and you will be truly happy.

A note of encouragement today, to anyone out there who might be struggling. Hang in there and know you’re empowered to endure whatever it might be that has you down right now. God’s got your back!

You’ll get through this and who knows, God very well may be using what you’re going through right now to help someone else down the road who will need to hear your story of a difficult period in your life and how He brought you through it.

Have a great day.

Fear / No Longer Slaves

What are you afraid of?

Fear keeps us from so many good things in life…it certainly has for me at times. But, it doesn’t have to.

Listen to this song. Whatever it might be, I’m praying today that you’ll give your fears and your burdens to God and choose to live in freedom!

Deuteronomy 31:6
So be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid and do not panic before them. For the LORD your God will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you.

R.I.P. Alison and Adam

Alison and Adam

I am praying for the families and loved ones of Alison Parker and Adam Ward, and the entire WDBJ-TV news organization today. This morning’s unthinkable tragedy that happened on live television was simply awful and completely heartbreaking.

Prayers up that God will bring comfort and peace to everyone there. Kudos to the entire WDBJ organization for carrying on today, delivering broadcasts and information despite the incredibly painful circumstances.

Meanwhile, a note to all broadcasters and journalists during this difficult time: Be strong. Be brave. Don’t let evil win.

Rest in peace, Alison and Adam.

Construction/Destruction

‘Construction sometimes looks like destruction for awhile.’

Work in ProgressHeard that from a friend yesterday. What that meant to me was…even at times when life seems pretty messy, good things are still happening and we’re being built up and made stronger for the rest of our journey.

Hope this encourages you like it encouraged me.

Have a great day everyone.
