From the Day

‘When You found me, I was so blind. My sin was before me, I was swallowed by pride. But out of the darkness You brought me to Your light. You showed me new mercy and opened up my eyes.

From the day You saved my soul, ’til the very moment when I come home…I’ll sing, I’ll dance, my heart will overflow…from the day You saved my soul.’

This song makes me feel like singing! God is good.

Have a great day everyone.

Brighter Days

‘Life’s not easy when you live with your heart open wide.

So I keep it locked inside. Oh I keep it locked inside.

But I can’t outrun Your affection.

Your love it breaks me down.

Oh I’ve gotta face this fight.

So won’t You come and break my pride?

Until there’s nothing left to hide.

Oh, come rushing like a hurricane.

Come lead me through the flood and flame.

Don’t let me walk away.

Oh, I need you like the iron needs fire.

Don’t leave me ’til the final fight, ’til we see brighter days.’

Doesn’t get much more simple than that.

I need to remind myself of this equation sometimes. Maybe it will help you, too.

Have a great day.

Restoration

I heard a message at church last weekend that made a real impact on me.

The focus was on the importance of restoration in our interpersonal relationships – whether with family, friends, loved ones, or whomever it might be. The importance of ‘making peace’ by coming to one another with love and humility instead of doing the opposite with avoidance or combativeness.
