Whose Agenda?

“What if we started praying according to God’s agenda, and not ours?”
-Kevin Beachy

Wow. Those words hit me when I heard them this morning.

What a concept! Asking God to help us fit into His plans, instead of asking Him to fit into ours.

Man, I’ve been really good at making that second request in the previous sentence. “God, just help me do what I want to do. Help make these things that I want to happen, happen.”

This was a good reminder for me today to spend more time praying for what He would like to see come to fruition in my life, instead of just all the things I’m looking for.

Thanks, God. 🙂

Not What You’ve Done

“God loves you for you, not what you’ve done.”
-John King

A great reminder that God isn’t keeping score, when it comes to your life. He loves you endlessly!

No matter what’s happened to this point, whatever is happening now…He loves you.

You may be going through some difficult times right now. Well, contrary to what you may believe, God has not given up on you. He has big plans for your life!

Believe that today, friends. Have a great day.

Help Me Find It

If there’s a road I should walk, help me find it. If I need to be still, give me peace for the moment. Whatever Your Will, can You help me find it?

Those particular lyrics of this song apply to me right now. At a crossroads of sorts with part of my life.

Everything is good, really good in fact, just looking at a possible change in (my) plans. Excited about what God is doing, but at the same time, a bit nervous and slightly confused about what may be ahead and what His plans are!

I’m going to trust God and pray for Him to do whatever He wants with this. It’s His life, not mine. If you’re the praying type, please feel free to pray for discernment and wisdom for me, to help me find it. 🙂

Thanks, everyone. It’s gonna work out well, I believe that. Have a great day!

Yes or No?

How can you say yes to Jesus and not do what He asks you to do?

That was a question posed to a group of us the other day, and it just might make you think for a minute or two.

This really is a good question. We can say yes to Jesus by asking for our sins to be forgiven and saying that we’ll follow Him…but when it comes down to it, are we really doing what He is asking us to do?

Maybe so. But, maybe not.

This question has me thinking and has me praying that I’ll do whatever He wants me to do with this life. After all, it’s not mine, it’s His.

I get in the way so much by thinking about my plans, my this and my that. What about you? Is it His plan or your plan? Is it yes or no?

Hope this message finds you well. I’m believing in great things here and believing the same for you, too!

Have a great day.
