FDA Approves Gen-Probe’s PROGENSA® PCA3 Assay

Gen-Probe (NASDAQ: GPRO) announced today the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved its PROGENSA® PCA3 (Prostate Cancer gene 3) assay, the first molecular test to help determine the need for repeat prostate biopsies in men who have had a previous negative biopsy.

Cool, huh? What makes it really cool for me is that my sister helped make this test become a reality.

Thanks for taking a look. It’s a great innovation that could do wonders for a lot of people and I’m really proud of my sister for being a part of it!
