We already have a “no phone rule” at our dinner table, but it’s nice to see businesses encouraging people to put the phones away and talk during meals!
I’m reading a book, authored by the founder of Chick-fil-A restaurants, S. Truett Cathy.
It’s called ‘Eat Mor Chikin: Inspire More People.’
Good book. Worth a read.
He makes some really good points in the book about the power of taking a glass half full attitude, and turning situations that may not seem favorable into very favorable outcomes.
From the book:
Sometimes a bad situation can turn into an unexpected opportunity.
Take advantage of unexpected opportunities.
Unexpected opportunities almost always carry with them a chance to be a faithful steward and influence others positively.
We change the world, and ourselves, by our response to unexpected opportunities.
Some wise words right there. I don’t need to add much to those words…they pretty much speak for themselves.
Your unexpected opportunity may be right around the corner, or it may already be here and you just don’t realize it or see it that way yet. Something to think about.
Have a great day friends. I hope you’ll make the most of your unexpected opportunities.
