I am praying for the families and loved ones of Alison Parker and Adam Ward, and the entire WDBJ-TV news organization today. This morning’s unthinkable tragedy that happened on live television was simply awful and completely heartbreaking.
Prayers up that God will bring comfort and peace to everyone there. Kudos to the entire WDBJ organization for carrying on today, delivering broadcasts and information despite the incredibly painful circumstances.
Meanwhile, a note to all broadcasters and journalists during this difficult time: Be strong. Be brave. Don’t let evil win.
I’ve shared this verse before but after coming across it again, thought I’d share it once more today:
Joshua 1:9 I’ve commanded you to be strong and brave. Don’t ever be afraid or discouraged! I am the Lord your God, and I will be there to help you wherever you go.
Are you needing a confidence boost or some encouragement for where life has you right now? Hopefully that provides it.
Be strong. Be brave. Remember, you have the support and strength of the One who made you…kinda makes whatever you’re feeling weak about or fearful of not seem quite as intimidating, doesn’t it? I know it’s true for me.
2 Chronicles 15:7 So you must be brave. Don’t give up! God will honor you for obeying him.
I heard this last night and something just told me right away that someone else out there, perhaps many ‘someones’ might need to hear it.
If you’re that someone, I hope this encourages you. I hope you’ll be brave. Keep honoring God with what you do and don’t give up! Good things are coming your way, even if it’s hard to see that right now.
Here’s to the strong, thanks to the brave. Don’t give up hope, some people change. Against all odds, against the grain. Love finds a way, some people change.
I’ve always liked this song. I believe that anyone can change, no matter who they’ve been and what they’ve done in their life. Not everyone does, and I recognize that. But anyone can…and some people do, just like the chorus of that song says.
