Backseat Driver

I don’t want to be no backseat driver. I don’t want to navigate, won’t you take it over? I don’t want to¬†ever doubt You, I’m lost without you, LORD. I don’t want to¬†be no backseat driver.

Is this you? It’s me sometimes, that’s for sure.

I love this song…yeah, the beat is great but the message is really good, too. It’s a reminder to let God do His thing and not get in the way, trying to be in control of things.

Whether what’s going on in your life¬†right now seems good or bad to you, God is in control and it is most definitely to our benefit when we let Him be.

So, here’s to not being a backseat driver in the year ahead – let’s let God drive in 2016! I don’t know about you, but I can’t wait to see where He takes me.

Have a great day.

Isaiah 55:8-9
‚ÄúFor my thoughts are not your thoughts,¬†¬†neither are your ways my ways,‚Ä̬†declares the LORD.¬†‚ÄúAs the heavens are higher than the earth,¬†so are my ways higher than your ways¬†and my thoughts than your thoughts.”

Proverbs 19:21
Many are the plans in a person’s heart, but it is the LORD’s purpose that prevails.

JIMMY-PALOOZA

For those of you who live in the Myrtle Beach, SC area I ask that you please take a look at this flyer and consider attending this fundraiser for one of my dear friends, Jimmy Moore.

Jimmy was in a serious car accident last month. He suffered a significant spinal cord injury resulting in nerve damage and a loss of feeling throughout his body. He also had a serious head laceration, but luckily not a brain injury. His recovery will be a slow one, but a sure one.

This fundraiser is being planned to help Jimmy and his wife, Jaimie. There will be raffles, 50-50 drawing(s) and live music.

So head on over to Bumstead’s Pub on Mr. Joe White Avenue Thursday, September 29th and show your support. I am sure it will be a great time and whatever support you can provide will help a lot.

Thanks everyone.
