Freedom Arts Project – Can You Help?

This great new program being launched by Dream Center Peoria is designed to give low income kids a chance to learn about the arts. It’s almost ready to get rolling…and it could use a ‘push’ from you to make the experience even better for the youth who will be participating.

Take a look at what is needed:

You’ll see that donations of new or gently used musical instruments, art supplies, and other items are being requested. I would like to ask you to check out your closet and see if maybe there is an old guitar or art set in there you don’t use or need and consider donating it.

This program has the potential to touch a lot of lives and I can assure you, whatever you are able to donate will not go to waste. It will help teach a child something that he or she might not have otherwise had a chance to learn.

Perhaps you know someone who can help – just spreading the word would be great and very much appreciated.

Thank you for any help you can provide. God bless.

Freedom Arts Project

This innovative program is the vision of some of the creative and kind hearted people at Dream Center Peoria. To quote the brochure:

“Freedom Arts Project aims to change the community by teaching young people lessons in the arts in a safe environment. Junior and senior high students participate one night a week in an 8-week course. The classes encourage young people, who otherwise would be unable to attend art classes, to pursue old and new passions in the arts.”
