Monday Smile

Let’s face it, many of us don’t exactly get excited about Mondays. They can be kinda tough, can’t they? So, let’s find something to smile about.

For me, it’s a great weekend spent together with family…and, this ridiculously delicious apple cider donut.

I’m smiling, here…what about you? Make it a great day, friends!

CONSUMER ALERT: Turn off WiFi Assist if you have iOS9

From the article:

Here’s how to disable “WiFi-Assist”:

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Click Cellular
  3. Scroll all the way to the bottom and disable Wi-Fi Assist. If the slider is not green anymore, the feature is disabled and you are safe once again.

WiFi Assist

This is a rather deceptive move from Apple and one that will no doubt cause some headaches and financial troubles for unsuspecting iPhone users who have upgraded to iOS9.

Basically, if you leave this setting on when you upgrade, your iPhone will automatically switch to cellular data if a WiFi signal is lost. As you might guess, this could lead to some monumental data usage amounts – and bills – if you’re doing any kind of video streaming or listening to music online.

So, just a friendly heads-up today to make sure to turn off WiFi Assist on your iPhone!

Have a great day.

Apple Crisp (Happy Fall!)

Ok, so it’s officially fall which means I can fully embrace things like the leaves changing colors, bonfires, wearing hoodies…and this.

Apple Crisp
Made it the other day and let me tell you, it was delicious. Here’s the recipe so you can make it yourself.

Happy fall everyone!

Fall Festivities

I love fall.

Just putting that out there 🙂

I have always enjoyed this time of year. There’s just something about it that no other season has. A certain feeling, the perfectly crisp air, I don’t know. But it’s fall and it’s awesome.

The activities associated with fall have something to do with my affection for this particular season. During this past week or so I’ve visited an apple orchard, gone for a hike, watched a high school football game, and enjoyed apple cider. Yes, you can experience some of those at other times of the year but during the fall they are exponentially better – at least as far as I’m concerned.

Like I said earlier, there’s just something about it.

Fall is also my favorite season to take pictures. The one you see here is from a little place called Ackerman Farms in Morton, Illinois. Nice folks there.

I realize by looking at it that going on a hayride would be a perfect addition to my fall activity list. Haven’t done that in a long time.

What about you? What are some of your favorite fall activities? I’d love to hear from you, please feel free to comment below.

Have a great day!

Fall Photo Fun

Enjoyed a visit to a farmer’s market the other day and snapped some photos while I was there…thought I’d share a few of them here in case you’re looking for some fall flair for your computer desktop 🙂
