The Reader Appreciation Award

I experienced a humbling moment the other day. I received a message from Faith, who writes the Faithrises blog, saying my blog had been nominated for the Reader Appreciation Award.

I started this blog about a year-and-a-half ago as an outlet for my random thoughts and a place to get my writing fix. Whether in broadcasting or public relations, I’ve always written in some form for a living and blogging seemed like a natural fit. Turns out, that was true. I really enjoy writing stuff here.

That being said, I honestly never expected to have anyone follow my blog, much less comment on it, and certainly not enjoy it enough to nominate it for anything. Thank you to those of you who read what I write here and for your continued visits.

To my fellow bloggers: I enjoy reading what you write, too and it’s a real blessing to have such great friends out there – even though (with the exception of just a couple of you) I’ve never met any of you in person 🙂 I am encouraged daily by what I read on your blogs. Keep up the good work!
