This innovative program is the vision of some of the creative and kind hearted people at Dream Center Peoria. To quote the brochure:
“Freedom Arts Project aims to change the community by teaching young people lessons in the arts in a safe environment. Junior and senior high students participate one night a week in an 8-week course. The classes encourage young people, who otherwise would be unable to attend art classes, to pursue old and new passions in the arts.”
Volunteers with talents in the arts will be helping kids from the Peoria area explore some new areas of learning. The goal is to open new doors to these kids and also give them the ability to express themselves.
I am very excited about this program. Based on the turnout at the first meeting it is clear that many others are, too.
The Freedom Arts Project has the potential to make a real difference in this community. Here’s a look at just some of the proposed courses:

If you would be so kind, please pray for the leaders of this program or just send some good thoughts their way. This could be a real life changing opportunity for a lot of children and because of that simple fact it is important for Freedom Arts Project to succeed.
If you’re interested in learning more about FAP or if you are able to donate your time or perhaps financial resources to this program, please send a message to: info@freedomartsproject.org and someone will contact you. Volunteers are needed and supplies are needed too. Should you decide to help, I can assure you the folks leading this effort will be most grateful.
I am looking forward to seeing this program blossom and I’m excited about the positive impact it has the potential to have on kids in this community. God is good!
